We love our awesome tutors at Learning Links of Fairport and couldn’t be happier to have new ones join! We also welcome visiting guests who teach us something new during "activity time." From Yoga to Zumba to Fire Safety or anthing Fairport has to offer. During the summer, we welcome guest professionals to tell us about their career and how they achieved their dream!
Our tutoring schedule runs throughout the school year on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights from 6:15 – 7:30 pm. Most of our tutors volunteer one night a week and work one-on-one with a child (or adult) who needs learning support. During the summer, our 6-week Professional Speakers program, we meet two nights a week at 6:30-8pm to "keep our brains engaged!"
Our volunteers come to us from many backgrounds: some are retired or working teachers and professionals, high school and college students, church members and community residents of all ages. Some of our Fairport High School (FHS) junior tutors earn community service credit for graduation!
All of our tutors must submit a background screening through Fairport United Methodist Church, as a requirement of Fairport Central School District.
